Klatrehytta: Open year round for everyone!
On the very edge of
Blåmannsvikdalen lies the Hollender hut, perhaps
better known as the
klatrehytta. Perfectly situated as a starting point for
all the climbing here.
Tromsø Klatreklubb
is taking care of it, but for it to live well you should treat it carefully too.
It is a small hut (6 by 4 meters), but it has everything you need. 8 persons
can sleep comfortably here, but we've been 25 at its most, so bring your friends.
It is equipped with:
- Cutlery and everything you need for cooking.
- One gas stove, and one paraffin (US: Kerosene), and one
firewood oven.
Usually there are both gas and firewood here, but no paraffin.
- A bunch of topos.
- A small library -for those rainy days!
- A Hyttebok, where you should write down your adventures,
but you are also encouraged to use the electronic version posted
here.
One of the best thing with this place is enjoying your breakfast outside
in the sun before embarking on any climbing, however, for that to be
possible do not (Do Not!) urinate, throw waste water
or any other waste, around the hut.
Please carry your waste back home and use the toilet (or
the area just
behind it) when nature calls. You can leave organic waste in the
worlds slowest compost (just 4 meters north-east of the hut).
To make your stay perfect for both you and future guests please also:
-
Sign in/out in the protocol book, it is nice for us to know
how many people that actually use the hut.
-
Bring your waste and empty bottles back, and clean up after you
(do we need to say this?).
-
Close all windows! and the door properly as you leave.
-
Turn off the gas.
-
Don't use shoes indoor, there are plenty comfy slippers there for you
to use.
-
Pay the required sum on sight!
